Note Pat & PenIf you are doing any kind of business on the internet then you know you need CONTENT!

This is where we come in. Relax and let us write your articles for you so you can add links to your site through article directories or search engine optimized content to your website or blog.
Hi, my name is Marilyn and I have been running an online business for several years. I  recognize the need for content- good content- but finding time to do actual business is more important than pondering over promotional articles.
I now have the perfect solution to my problem and I want to share it with you!

The answer is…

MY MOM!

My mother, Judy, enjoys writing and made it her career. Over the years she was writer and editor for a community newspaper. She wrote, edited and published a magazine for a large U.S. governmental trade organization for many years as well.

She then went into business for herself as a printer & desktop publisher for other books and magazines. She has been retired for a few years, but since she knew I worked online she asked me lately what her options were for freelance writing. I explained what type of content people online were looking for and so we decided to start a new content-providing business!

Small Business Marketing Solutions

Posted by: eBizMommy | Comments (0)

I truly enjoy hearing from entrepreneurs that have ventured out on their own to start small businesses. Unfortunately many may be struggling right now, especially in small towns. Because of this I felt it was important to help these struggling local retailers or service providers.  I want to encourage them to move away from relying on yellow page ads to bring them business & clients. One of the best ways to ensure that you will succeed in your chosen business is to know your strengths. I love working behind the scenes and developing websites. I also have a passion for helping others develop their internet marketing plans. I enjoy the start up phase of a project and really love connecting people to their own dreams of starting a business. I enjoy making websites for others and teaching them all the possibilities of Internet marketing.

On the other hand, writing is hard work for me. Words don’t flow as easy as I would like them to and my editing skills leave much to be desired. Remember back is school when your English teacher taught diagramming sentences? I hated it.

Internet marketing thrives on content and I have been struggling to develop content for years. Doing all the writing myself slows me down and I don’t get as much accomplished as I would like. Recently I finally started outsourcing articles for another business of mine. But now, I’ve done even better than that. I have a friend that loves to write & enjoys (YES…enjoys?!?!) editing. We have decided to work on some projects together and I know that by finding a partner I can accomplish more than ever before.

When you try to do it all on your own you, I makes it difficult to do everything well. Focus on your strengths and find others with complimentary talents to partner with, or outsource to, so you can really take your business to the next level.

You Do Not Have To Be A Tech Geek

Posted by: eBizMommy | Comments (1)

When talking to other moms that don’t have internet businesses, but are interested in doing so, I find that most are put off by the technical aspects of internet marketing. That need not stop you from building an online business. There are so many resources that meet you at your own level. From easy to use Squidoo pages, to blogging, to outsourcing all the technical aspects, you can find the help you need to get your business on the web.

Take yesterday for example. I know how do do a lot with WordPress. I can get a new one set up by myself with usually no problem & I set up this eBizmommy.com blog myself using a theme from iThemes premium WordPress themes. I even made my own header (the graphics at the top of the page.) But that doesn’t mean I know the in-depth code work necessary to figure out why my website kept crashing in the Internet Explorer browser window.

So what did I do? I asked someone who knew what they were doing to look at it. I posted on the support forum at iThemes on a Saturday night, and asked. I love iThemes because of the great WordPress themes they have as well as the awesome support. By Sunday Morning my problem was diagnosed. (By the way, never use the Firefox plugin Bi.tly if you write a WordPress blog…big glitches!!)

Ronald at iThemes, figured out what was happening on my computer when I was working on my site, and helped me fix it. I could have wasted days, or even given up, had I tried to find the problem myself…but an expert took just a little while to set things right.

Your time is valuable. I made the mistake early on to try and learn it all myself. I do know a lot about building websites and blogs now, but it took a lot of time I will never get back! Use the resources at your disposal for a quick and easy way to take your business idea and make it a reality! Don’t get bogged down in the technicalities. Do it if you like the challenge, or feel comfortable around computers, but outsource it if your don’t.

Sign up for my free report on the right side of the page. It will give you plenty of resources and ideas about how to get started.
